Our Team

"Our guides have dedicated their lives to fly-fishing and have been immersed in the fishery since childhood. When it comes to guides in the Caribbean, their skill and friendliness can vary widely. However, the guides in Guanaja guide with the philosophy of having fun. That's why our guests return not just for the fish in the flats but also for the friendships they've developed with the guides. Over time, everyone has grown together.

    Archie

    Fly Fishing Guide

Archie and his family developed Dayton Caye at the Faraway Cayes, long before we arrived. It was a lobster and outpost camp for the Guanaja marine culture. Even during his childhood, when he visited the little island, Archie would always protect the large schools of bonefish and permit from netting and overfishing. The difficulties he faced in his previous career made being a fly-fishing guide seem like a piece of cake. Archie's enthusiasm and dedication to landing permit with anglers is priceless, and his sense of humor will keep you on your toes and laughing most of the day.
