Steve BrownOwner
Steve Brown is a Colorado native who has been fly fishing most of his life. He majored in English at Colorado College, and earned a Masters in English at Colorado State University. Steve went onto create and teach writing courses at Colorado College including River-related literature and writing through Fly-fishing as well as Reading and Writing Rivers and Oceans of Honduras through cultural integration, travel through Honduras, salt-water fly-fishing, sailing, snorkeling, and sea-kayaking.
For the past 17 `years Steve has been guiding in Southeastern Colorado. Several journeys through Central America during off seasons led him to the Bay islands of Honduras, saltwater fly-fishing. He found expansive flats empty of any other fishers, yet full of fish: permit, bonefish, tarpon, and more. He first explored Utila, then Roatan, and finally Guanaja. Steve’s dreams of starting a small, sustainable fly-fishing lodge came to fruition in the Spring of 2008. Steve has a deep rooted passion for fly fishing and conservation and founded the Fish For Change which is a non profit organization refocusing on why we are fly fishing. |
REbecca BrownComing from a fly fishing family, Rebecca’s love for the outdoors has been part of her life since she was little. She spent her childhood exploring the backcountry of Colorado.
Her commitment to conservation is inspiring. Rebecca is the glue that holds many diverse teams together. She is the Reservations Manager, Logistical Coordinator and Bookkeeper for multiple fly fishing companies in multiple countries. Her customer service and attention to logistical detailing is rare. |
Kendall WittKendall Witt is Fly Fish Guanaja's manager and a huge asset to not only our team, but the fly-fishing industry as a whole. Kendall is a cutting edge Colorado native who still guides on several Colorado Rivers including the Rio Grande, Colorado, and Roaring Fork.
His back ground in custom home building makes him an even bigger asset to running a lodge in the Caribbean, which would be a constant headache if we didn't have Kendall. His ability to relate to guests, answer their many requests, set up successful fishing adventures, and develop property is unmatched, and the good news is he isn't going anywhere. Not only is Kendall relatively young, he's immersed so deeply into Guanaja life that he is engaged to a local doctor! We got em for good! |
